PERKS!

Volunteers will receive a movie pass for each shift they volunteer. Volunteers who sign up for 5 shifts or more will earn an All-Access festival pass (access every screening, party, and special event).

SHIFT DETAILS

IWFF Promo: Dress up in animal costumes, hold signs and pass out flyers on street corners! Thursday evening rush hour, First Friday, and lunchtime at the University. ALSO, decorate your bike and/or a FreeCycles bike with wildlife and nature themes and ride around town promoting the festival!
Street Teamers: Help spread the word about IWFF! Hang up festival posters at local businesses and locations all over town. There are 4 routes to choose from: Downtown, Hip Strip, University/Eastgate, and “Other Areas” (ie: grocery stores, breweries, the mall, etc.). This will begin the first of April.
Box Office: Sell tickets, greet and provide general information to guests. Box Office volunteers must be comfortable with crowds, handling cash and running a register app on an iPad. (at the Roxy)
Concessions: MUST be 18 or older (alcohol handling involved). Concessionaires serve beverages, popcorn, candy, and other snacks behind the counter, as well as occasionally run the merchandise counter. Must be comfortable with crowds, handling cash and running a register app on an iPad. (at the Roxy)
Usher: Ushers will help staff with crowd control and miscellaneous tasks. Must be comfortable talking to and directing crowds. (at the Roxy)
Projectionist: MUST have prior training or be pre-approved by staff to run machines. Please contact [email protected] to get more information on training. (at the Roxy)
Shift Reminder Calls: Friendly reminder calls are needed every day to call volunteers for the following day to remind them of their shift, time, and location. (at the Roxy)
WildWalk/WildFest: Help with WildWalk and WildFest operations on Higgins Ave and Caras Park. WildWalk: We need people standing by the street blockers and helping redirect traffic during the parade. WildFest: We need extra support ensuring the food trucks and performers are helped with their needs. Also, we need a couple individuals to help with the costume contest (handing out prizes, etc.).
Party set up/clean up: Party volunteers will help the events coordinator set up for parties, attend to guests, and help break down/clean up afterwards.
Registration desk: Volunteers will help festival guests sign in at the Roxy, receive their swag bag, sign up for events, and answer questions.
School group usher: We have student matinees happening the entire week of the festival. We need ushers to help with crowd control, getting students into the theater and situated. (Located at Dennison Theater).
Panel Helper: Help with set up/take down of panel sessions, morning and afternoon shift. (at the Roxy)
Clean UP: Extra hands to keep the Roxy clean during the festivities! (at the Roxy)
