Films eligible for the International Wildlife Film Festival juried competition must have a central focus on non-domesticated wildlife species and natural habitats. Content must relate to wildlife, habitat, conservation and the role of hunting in conservation, ecology, research management, the environment, human interactions with wildlife and the natural world.
Pride! Plus an all-access pass to the festival, free entry to all events, priority sign-up on field trips and your film projected to an engaged Missoula community audience wildly applauding your story. We do have limited filmmaker housing available on a first-come, first-serve basis. And maybe a snazzy award? And did we mention the best craft beer this side of the Mississippi?
Because this is one of the most charming, unique and caring film festivals you’ll ever attend. You’ll also have the opportunity to connect with an enthusiastic audience that includes emerging filmmakers, industry professionals, wildlife film industry executives, non-profits and conservation organizations that truly care about your film topic and want to carry on your message.
Yes! We present twelve awards at IWFF: Best of Festival (voted on by the free people of Missoula!), Special Jury Prize plus a Best of Award in each category. Awards will be presented at our awards show on Thursday, April 18th and announced on our website and social media channels.
