Synopsis

Japanese macaques migrated to Japan during a glacial period 400,000 years ago and flourished, developing amazing abilities. “Mighty Monkeys” ventures into regions with heavy snowfall, high mountains, and rough seas to reveal how macaques survive in extreme environments. With exquisite footage, it sheds new light on some of Japan’s most iconic creatures.
