Our Planet - frozen worlds

Synopsis:
The key environmental issue for our frozen worlds is global warming. To understand the problem facing the poles, one must understand the sea ice system that underpins almost all life in Antarctica and the far North. Sophie Lanfear, the Producer/Director of Our Planet - Frozen Worlds wants to show people that far from being flat and lifeless, sea ice actually creates life, it is the soil upon which algae grows which in turn feeds krill, which in turn feeds penguins, whales, fish, seals, and killer whales. Contrary to common perception, cold seas are incredibly productive and full of a rich diversity of life.
