Wild Tamil Nadu that reveals the extraordinary bio Wild Tamil Nadu that reveals the extraordinary biodiversity of Tamil Nadu, a spectacular region of India where rain forests, reefs, and deserts meet in one of the most unique ecological landscapes on Earth. Wild Tamil Nadu explores the region through the lens of its five classical landscapes — mountains (Kurinji), forests (Mullai), croplands (Marutham), arid zones (Palai), and coasts (Neithal). These poetic classifications, written over 4,500 years ago, remain relevant today as guides to the state’s profound environmental diversity. This documentary journeys through these living ecosystems, home to majestic icons like elephants and leopards, as well as overlooked wonders like fireflies, lion-tailed macaques, and the elusive Madras hedgehog. Blending natural history with rarely told stories from the wild, the film reveals a vibrant portrait of biodiversity and coexistence in India’s southernmost state.

COLOURISE: Exploring the Magical World of Biofluorescence invites us into the hidden world of biofluorescence, where the darkness of night transforms into a canvas for nature’s secret glow. Following explorer and photographer David Atthowe from the temperate forests of the UK to the tropical rainforests of Malaysia, the film reveals organisms that glow with reds, greens, blues, and purple under ultraviolet light. Through his lens, a magical, otherworldly spectrum comes alive, a colourful representation of awe and wonder.

A typical Dutch ditch rarely seems worthy of a second glance. But those who look closer discover a rich ecosystem, teeming with life and intricate connections. In this short nature film, we follow the lives of fish, insects, and birds across the changing seasons. Sloot is a tribute to biodiversity in a manmade landscape.

In Southern Bangladesh, hungry wild elephants trap In Southern Bangladesh, hungry wild elephants trapped by the world’s largest refugee camp are rampaging over the land of local farmers. The result is a tense three-way stand-off between the refugees, local Bengalis, and indigenous farmers, worsening already strained ethnic tensions. With no easy solution, a Rohingya refugee, an indigenous farmer, a Bengali forest ranger, and the shrinking population of wild elephants find themselves trapped in an impossible fight for land, freedom, and a place to call home.
